London: John Murray, 1823-26. Hardcover. A beautiful set of 13 volumes, uniformly bound. Slight loss at the crown of volume 4, otherwise volumes all in Fine condition with minor rubbing and slight cracks to the spines, joints starting, discoloration. Bound in full navy-brushed calf with gilt ruling and dentelles, rasied bands and brown title labels on the spines, gilt decorations in the panels. Marbled edges and endpapers, with the armorial bookplate of Charles Herbert Cotrell Esq. on the front pastedowns (Cottrell was a barrister and magistrate in Hertfordshire and Wiltshire who wrote about his travels in Siberia and translated works from German into English). Pages are lightly tanned and mostly clean with a few minor stains/tidemarks and scattered foxing. VeryGood. Item #mon0002349698
