Mid-20th century binding in full leather with gilt decorations, covers show very minor edgewear. Patterned endpapers. Pages lightly tanned with minor scattered foxing, name and minor writing/ownership info of former owners at the front and rear of each book, tear at the gutter of leaf 239/240 in volume 1.
