Barrett C. Kiesling was the Publicity Directory at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios during the golden days of film. He worked with such luminaries as Cecil B. DeMille and Joan Crawford. Mr. Kiesling was also an avid book-collector and had connections with such a wide range of talent in the literary and film industries that he amassed a huge collection of signed books, many of which also included personal correspondence between him and the autographers.
